Jackall

Founded in Japan in 1999, JACKALL was created by Seiji Kato and Toshiro Ono, two competition anglers who wanted to develop highly technical fishing products. This choice explains the brand's location on the shores of Lake Biwa, a genuine full-scale testing ground for black bass fishing and the development of new lures.

JACKALL's first model, the Cross Tail Shad, quickly established the brand's reputation. Designed to make the most of the drop shot technique, this soft lure became a benchmark far beyond Japan. Other iconic models followed, such as the TN Vibration and the Flick Shake, two lures that perfectly illustrate the JACKALL philosophy: start with an angler's need and develop an action that appeals to fish rather than simply following a trend.

This development philosophy remains at the heart of the brand. JACKALL has a research centre on the shores of Lake Biwa, where prototypes can be tested immediately. Milling machines, 3D printing and even a giant aquarium allow the designers to closely observe lure action and fish reactions before products are brought to market.
