The PENN Battalion III rods are designed to handle a wide range of boat drifting and trolling techniques. Built on a one-piece tubular fibreglass blank with a solid tip, these rods offer exceptional strength while reducing the risk of breakage under heavy loads. Fitted with reinforced SeaGuide guides and a robust PAC BAY stripper guide, they ensure excellent durability and optimum line control — even when battling the biggest bluefin tuna. The machined aluminium reel seat ensures the reel is held firmly and securely, while the integrated fighting butt provides extra power and support during the most intense fights. The bent-butt models are fitted with a short angled aluminium butt, making them particularly well suited to stand-up fishing when fighting powerful big-game fish.
